Finley Saleyards – Call for Proposals

Berrigan Shire Council is calling for proposals for the purchase or lease of Finley Saleyards.

The Finley Saleyards presents an opportunity for a future owner or lessee to take advantage of the facility’s reputation as a selling centre for both cattle and sheep and leverage the existing infrastructure and operations to grow throughput and benefit from continued consolidation in the saleyards sector.

Berrigan Shire Council’s Mayor Cr. Matthew Hannan said “we are hopeful that this opportunity will lead to a successful Finley Saleyards operated to its full potential”.

The facility is in an ideal position close to the intersection of the Riverina and Newell Highways in a region known as a hub for breeding, backgrounding and fattening. 

The Finley Saleyards have capacity for throughput as high as 3,000 cattle and up to 10,000 sheep in a single sale.

Proposals open on 9 March 2023 and close on 13 April 2023.
