Berrigan Shire Library Services Joins Riverina Regional Libraries

Berrigan Shire Council Library Services is thrilled to announce a transformative step forward in its commitment to serving the community, with the transition to Riverina Regional Libraries (RRL). This move marks a significant enhancement in the array of resources and opportunities available to its members.

CEO Karina Ewer, expressed enthusiasm about the transition, stating, "We are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding the Berrigan Shire Council Library Services.  This collaboration with Riverina Regional Libraries represents a pivotal moment in our ongoing dedication to providing exceptional service to our community.  Our foremost priority remains the enrichment of our members' experience and this union will undoubtedly achieve that goal."

"Our dedicated library staff will continue to provide the same level of service, ensuring that members are greeted by familiar friendly faces every day.  We are committed to offering even more to our community as we embark on this exciting new chapter."

The integration into RRL promises an array of benefits for Berrigan Shire Libraries members, including access to a vast collection spanning all 19 branch libraries across the region.  With over 200,000 items available at no additional cost, members can indulge in a diverse range of literature and resources.

CEO Karina Ewer further elaborated on the advantages, stating, "Through this transition, our members will gain access to over 4,000 additional eBooks and eAudiobooks via Borrowbox, along with an array of programs and events tailored to all age groups. From expanded options for themed Storytime sessions to engaging craft activities, there will be something for everyone."

The transition process is scheduled to commence over the coming months, with the aim of completing the full transition to the new model by the end of July 2024.
