Berrigan Shire Council Elects Mayor and Deputy Mayor

 

At the September Extraordinary Council Meeting, Cr Julia Cornwell McKean was elected as the Mayor of Berrigan Shire Council and Cr Renee Paine was elected as the Deputy Mayor. Both positions were uncontested, with the newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor set to hold their positions for a two-year term, until September 2026.

 

Mayor Julia Cornwell McKean expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you to my fellow Councillors for their continued support. I look forward to continuing to serve Berrigan Shire as Mayor.”

 

This marks an exciting period for the Berrigan Shire Council as they work collaboratively to address community needs and further progress local initiatives.
