NEW TENANT FOR TOCUMWAL FORESHORE BUILDING – THE BEND RESTAURANT
It’s official. Berrigan Shire Council have signed a lease with a new tenant for the Tocumwal Foreshore Building and we are all excited by the news!!
Mayor Julia Cornwell McKean stated, “It has been a long process to get a new tenant for this prime location. We are pleased that locals and visitors alike will once again get to enjoy the views of the Mighty Murray while dining on the top deck of the Tocumwal Foreshore Building.”
“We are excited to be in and updating the interior of the building,” said new proprietor Rick Shaw. “We are working closely with Council to co-ordinate our efforts and ensure repairs and installations take the least amount of time possible. We’ve got the best outlook between Albury and Mildura and can’t wait to create a menu to suit”
“Council is also excited the new lessee is not only local but has a proven track record in delivering high quality eating experiences to our community. Head Chef was recently a finalist in the World Food Championships Australia, held in Melbourne recently. We could not be happier that a team of this calibre will be part of this new offering,” said Mayor Julia.
The expected opening date is set for mid February 2024 with the new proprietor being determined to provide the best service and experience from the very first day of opening. Keep an eye on the building as new signage is installed and the fit out is complete. This is a great new option for Tocumwal and the region. Let’s all support this great new venture.
