Integrated Planning and Reporting

The Community Strategic Plan is the highest level plan that a council will prepare. The purpose of the plan is to identify the community’s main priorities and aspirations for the future and to identify strategies for achieving these goals. A Community Strategic Plan must cover a minimum time frame of 10 years.

Berrigan Shire Council's Workforce Management Strategy and Action Plan 2022 – 2026 is an element of the Berrigan Shire 2032: Resourcing Strategy and it contributes toward the 4 year delivery program. 

Council's Long Term Financial Plan is part of our Resourcing Strategy, helping to ensure the community's long term goals and objectives are met.

This Asset Management Strategy is prepared to assist Council in improving the way it delivers essential services to the public.

The Delivery Program is a statement of how Council aims to achieve the outcomes developed by the community in the Community Strategic Plan. It is adopted for a four year period to coincide with the local government elections.  

This Annual Operational Plan is year one of the Councils Delivery Program: It is informed by the Council’s review of its 10-year Resourcing Strategy 2022 - 2032 which includes the Shire’s Asset Management Plans, a Workforce Development Plan 2022– 2026 and Long Term Financial Plan 2024 – 2038. It describes how Council annual operations contribute to the achievement of the Community Strategic Plan: Berrigan Shire.

Each year, Council reports on its implementation of the delivery program and operational plan in its annual report.

The annual report is one of the key points of accountability between a council and its community.
