Council’s water and sewer infrastructure services are the main pillars of council services and make a significant impact to the community quality of life, providing social connection, enhancing service and confidence levels. Council is committed to a high-quality service for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations and Maintenance – Actively involved in operation and maintenance of water and sewer network and services, and ensuring Shire infrastructure assets in meeting the level of service;
- Maintenance Programs – You will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer mains, service lines, hydrants and valves, meters, and treatment plants. Your experience and knowledge will be highly regarded within this role.
- Emergency works - Respond to emergency calls for water main break, sewer backups and other system issues;
- Inspections and Records – Maintain accurate records of work performed and follow safety regulations and procedures on site.

- Good communication skills
- Plumbing Certificate III (Minimum)

This is a full-time position classified at Grade D Entry Level under Council’s salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $63,282.00 to $71,225.00 per annum, plus 11.5% statutory superannuation and a 76-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
