A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is a combined planning and construction approval for certain developments that meet specific development standards through a fast-track assessment process.
Note: In order to lodge a CDC with Council, you must first ascertain if you are able to undertake Complying Development on the subject site. To undertake development as complying, you must provide evidence that you comply with Clause 1.17-1.19A of the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Code) 2008 as linked here.
If your application does not satisfy all the requirements for approval as a CDC, you will need to submit a Development Application and Construction Certificate.
If you need assistance using the Planning Portal, please view the Department's Help, Support and Training Page or you can call 03 5888 5100 for additional support.
