National Simultaneous Storytime May 23rd at 11 am
NSS was celebrated at Barooga, Berrigan and Finley libraries with a big ‘Thank You’ to Tocumwal Preschool for hosting again this year.
A total of 312 local children from Kinder, Y1 and Y2 together with 49 adults enjoyed ‘Hickory Dickory Dash’ by Tony Wilson simultaneously across the Shire. The many craft activities were fun too!
Special guest storytellers Collen Rockliff, Kath Spence, Monique Neal and Jo Steinfort brought this beautiful story of love, determination, courage and togetherness to life.
Simultaneously over 1 million children enjoyed ‘Hickory Dickory Dash’ across the nation.
National Simultaneous Storytime is celebrated in Library and Information Week with this year being the 18th anniversary. Berrigan Shire Library Service has participated since the very beginning. We enjoy hosting such a fun event for children, knowing we have such wonderful support which is growing each year. Thank you to all participants for helping make the occasion such a success!
LADIES AND GENTLESTEMS, BULBS AND GIRLS....
It's time to get fresh, throw your root down, and twist and sprout with the funkiest, filthiest band in town!
The marketing for sugary junk food uses the power of music and storytelling to appeal to children. We want to use those same weapons to help kids fall in love with veggies.
Our goal is not to convince you to be vegetarians or vegans. We're not about being "clean". We're about getting you and your kids to your "5 a day" - by any funky means necessary!
